The Mt. Baker Ski Area provides a Mt Baker ski area daily update during the winter. Information regarding cross country skiing in the valley may be found by contacting the Nooksack Nordic Ski Club

 Mt. Baker's World Record Snowfall
The WORLD RECORDS for both seasonal total snowfall and snowfall for one winter season were broken in 1989-1999 at the Mt. Baker Ski Area.

The National Climate Extremes Committee determined that the 1998-1999 snowfall of 1,140 inches at Mount Baker topped the previous record of 1,122 inches set at Mount Rainier in the winter of 1971-1972.
