The spectacular North Cascades and the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest are at your back door and provide unsurpassed opportunities for mountaineering, hiking, alpine and cross-country skiing, fishing, horseback riding, para-gliding, river rafting, tubing, photography, pleasure driving and many other outdoor activities. Silver Lake, located just five miles north of Maple Falls, offers lake fishing and boating. Small rowboats, paddle boats and canoes are for rent.

Guided backcountry mountaineering, hiking, skiing, fishing, photography, aerial flights and other adventure tours are available. Shuttle services are not currently operating in the area.
